Leesburg, VA – Loudoun United FC and Anchor Bar NOVA announced today that $1,500 will be donated to the Tampa Bay area American Red Cross for hurricane relief.
The funds come from 100% of proceeds being donated from the Loudoun United FC versus Rhode Island watch party held at Anchor Bar NOVA this past Sunday.
“I’m proud that a local partner in Anchor Bar cares about a community in Tampa Bay to show unity as partners in soccer and for the United Soccer League,” said Doug Raftery, Executive Business Officer for Loudoun United FC. “Thank you to the fans who attended the watch party and thank you Anchor Bar for showing Tampa Bay that we have them in our thoughts and prayers.”
Over the past two weeks, the southeastern part of the United States was struck by hurricanes Milton and Helene, leaving behind a trail of destruction throughout the state of Florida. Home rescues are still occurring, and areas are struggling to get power, internet, gas, and access to clean drinking water. Our thoughts are with the Tampa Bay Rowdies, the United Soccer League headquarters, and the entire Tampa Bay community.
